- Class A CDL required
- Air-brake endorsement required
- Current NCCCO certification
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Acceptable driving record
- Ability to speak, write, and read English required
- Knowledge of vehicle safety audits and reports of any malfunctioning equipment as required by Federal and state regulations and company policy
- Ability to manage time and routes for a streamlined delivery experience
- Familiarity with GPS devices or map applications
- Driving experience within 50-mile radius of primary location preferred
- Safely and efficiently load and unload building materials from commercial motor vehicle
- Legally, safely, and efficiently travel to destinations through public and private roads
- Learns and uses route planning and optimization
- Follow delivery procedures by taking photos of delivered shipment after completing each delivery
- Maintain yard, warehouse, and vehicle cleanliness during course of work
- Keep truck supplied, organized, and clean
- Check load for accuracy
- Proactively manages job site conditions for next delivery and communicates with other
- Perform daily pre-trip and post trip inspections of all equipment
- Perform required safety audit of vehicle (daily safety audits, weekly brake inspections, crane inspections) and promptly report any malfunctioning equipment as required by Federal and state regulations and company policy
- Promptly report all accidents/incidents
- Writes legibly on all materials
- Annually update driver's qualification file as required by Federal and state regulations and company policy
- Provides required paperwork and scanning for dispatch
- Ensures that all material transported on the truck has a delivery packet which includes the truss layout and truss engineering and delivery ticket
- Provides feedback related to customers, jobsites, issues, etc.
- Reads and follows instructions on deliveries
- Contacts customers before next delivery
- Establishes good relationships with sales team and seeks to be their "eyes and ears" in the field
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, and vendors
- Assists other team members with work when appropriate
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to sit for an extended period of time
- Ability to stoop, bend and walk
