We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50 labs throughout the country. We are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this Dental Lab Technician III - CAD/CAM Design opportunity at NDX Stern Empire in Houston, TX.The regular hours for this position are from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.This is a full-time position featuring employee benefits including: health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; paid holiday, vacation, and sick time; 401K with company contribution; and tuition reimbursement!Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:
  • Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist.
  • Design dental frameworks/restorations that provide the patient with the proper function and aesthetics.
  • Nest and Mill all Cad/Cam products
  • Maintain and operate the mills
  • Design implant abutments
  • It is the dental technician’s job to insure all steps are followed, in order, to insure consistent, accurate results.
  • Verify the scan is correct and materials have been entered in correctly.
  • Adjust settings accordingly to product types.
  • Read and review all paperwork on each case for correct information.
  • Keep cases organized so that everyone on the milling projects can work as a team.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Must have basic computer skills
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
  • Preferred: Minimum of 2 years of Dental Laboratory CAD/CAM experience
  • Required: Proficient in executing all levels of CAD/CAM design cases without assistance.
  • Demonstrates ability to handle complex design cases independently.
  • Cross-trained in multiple tasks and functions across the department and operates self-sufficiently.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
  • Required to sit, stand, walk, and/or reach.
  • Exhibit fine motor skills and/or perform repetitive motions.
  • Read and interpret prescriptions and other required documentation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical information.
  • Vision capabilities: depth perception, attention to detail, and/or color.
