See how your contributions will help transform vision into realityPosition Overview:This position works closely with the production trainer and the Quality Engineer. As lead trainer, this role will conduct electronics basics, solder basics, advanced solder, plastic molding basics, measurement tool, and assembly basics training for new and current employees. As process auditor, this position will monitor the progress of the training on the production floor by conducting audits, providing feedback and as needed, providing hands on training on the production floor. In addition, this position will complete detailed workstation audits and provide findings in a detailed report, will track those audit findings to ensure they’re addressed with appropriate corrective actions.At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.Essential Functions:
  • Provide the following training:
  • Electronics basics
  • Basic and advanced hand solder
  • Basic plastic molding (non-measurement training items)
  • Measurement tool
  • Basics Assembly
  • Provide individual additional training as requested by group leader, supervisor or as determined by audits
  • Update and create new training materials
  • Monitor and audit the progress and performance of the trainees with assistance from the production trainers and group leaders
  • Complete workstation audits with detailed finding reports
  • Communicate directly with supervision, group leaders and training assistant to ensure employees are performing assigned job duties according to work instructions

  • Thorough knowledge of production processes in electronics is a must; the ideal candidate will have knowledge in electronics and plastics production processes
  • Knowledge of ESD and handling electrical components, and Component ID (SMT)
  • Must be mechanically inclined with strong reading, writing skills and basic mathematics skills
  • Work individually and in a team environment
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate training for off-shifts as needed
  • Demonstrate strong aptitude in prioritizing and meeting a department’s training expectations
Physical Requirements:
  • Must have manual dexterity when using hand tools, scales, and other process related equipment such as fixtures, assembly presses and drill presses. Some hand tools require the operator to be ambidextrous; fine hand manipulation, pinching, pulling, and grasping of small-medium-large parts is required
  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time
  • Moderate lifting up to 50 lbs., lifting assistance is provided when necessary
  • Must have full range of motion in hands, arms, legs, neck and back
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • The position requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent; a two-year degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field is preferred
  • Must be highly proficient in English written and verbal communication
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) is preferred but not required
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office Skills are required (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • Effective interpersonal skills
  • IPC A-610 Certified Trainer is preferred
  • 2+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
