Position: Stitcher OperatorEssential Function:
The Stitcher Operator is responsible for operating stitching machines to produce high-quality printed materials in a cost-effective and timely manner, while meeting customer expectations and internal deadlines.Experience Required:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience operating stitching equipment in a print production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate stitching machines and troubleshoot as needed
  • Set up for various book sizes, including configurations with 3, 5, and 6 pockets, cover feeder, and 4th/5th knives
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance (daily, monthly, and quarterly)
  • Maintain accurate production and data records
  • Follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail
  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments
  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and customer standards
  • Participate in company and department meetings
  • Assist in training new and temporary staff
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
  • Work overtime, weekends, or assist other departments as needed
  • Support team leads in executing Bindery processes
  • Relay job-specific information to the next shift when applicable

  • Basic computer proficiency (PSI knowledge is a plus)
  • Ability to follow company policies, procedures, and quality systems
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, push/pull carts, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly (75 lbs occasionally)
Education:
  • High school diploma or GED required
