POSITION SUMMARY:Provides direct security and related public services.Responsibilities:You will conduct the following responsibilities upholding Tarian’s commitment to safety and security while supporting the values and culture of the client and community.
  • Serve our posts at major Airports and Government Services facilities. Our Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the facility, its staff, and visitors -- and serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on property.
  • Act as a highly visible deterrent and as a deterrent to criminal activity while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
  • Notify supervisors and on-site client staff of any irregularities, suspicious activities, security breaches, and safety hazards.
  • Write and submit standardized reports that are prompt, professional, and accurate relative to the incident. Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences.
  • Patrol and observe interior and exterior area of client properties in person or via surveillance systems to identify suspicious or unusual activity and to investigate as needed.
  • Respond to emergency situations according to Tarian and client policies & procedures.
  • Coordinate and assist first responder response to the client site and assist first responders while they are on site.
  • Applies policies and procedures appropriately based on existing circumstances.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Qualifications:Education and Experience:
  • Completed High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
  • Strong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
  • Must be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs., help restrain or lift a person
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Tarian’s driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles)
Desired Qualification of the Security Officer:
  • Previous work experience with the public in a service setting
  • Active Security License
