The Goddard School, located in Marshallton/West Chester, an Early Childhood Education center, is currently hiring full time Preschool teachers. Experience working with children under the age of 5 is necessary. This can be in a classroom atmosphere or as a nanny/babysitter. Candidates must be caring and kind individuals who want to make a positive difference in the lives of young children. Candidates will be selected based on their ability to actively engage children in a safe, nurturing and loving manner, as well as effectively communicate with co-teachers and parents in a busy classroom environment.Our school is open Monday -Friday, 7:00am-6:00pm.Benefits include:

Job Responsibilities
Establish and maintain a safe, healthy and nurturing learning environment
Help to implement weekly lesson plans based on Goddard’s Developmental Guidelines and monthly school themes
Advance children’s physical and intellectual competence while supporting each child’s social and emotional development, and individual needs
Establish positive and effective family relations through interactive parent communication
Appropriate and professional communication with fellow staff and management, cultivating a healthy and functional working environment that fosters teamwork
Participate in regular staff meetings and training sessions
Ensure compliance with Goddard’s Quality Assurance and PA state standards
Work with a team of other teachers in the classroom
Job RequirementsAll candidates, who wish to be considered must meet the following criteria:
To be considered candidate must have prior classroom experience at a childcare center or related experience working with children under the age of 5
Strong work ethic and communication skills
Positive attitude and inherent love for young children
Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
Be available to start employment within a few weeks of accepting an offer
Live within a 30 minute commute to West Chester, PA
18+ with a high school degree or GED. CDA, associates, or bachelors in related field a plus!
