
Senior Test Engineer (Dayton)

- Responsible for executing test campaigns for the assigned system/ sub-system and component by following Joby processes and/or procedures
- Lead discussion with Integrated Product Team (IPT) to understand testing needs, milestones & deliverables and manage associated activities using Joby test processes to execute them
- Create test stand requirements to support product testing and work with internal and external test sites to ensure test capabilities are adequate to meet Joby testing requirements
- Commission Functional Test setup stands to exercise functions of the equipment and /or system during DO-160 testing or similar testing
- Implement functional test equipment and supporting infrastructure needed to support testing (such as data handling and storage, software tools) as needed at 3rd party test sites
- Lead on-site team at external test site during test execution (and manage Joby responsibilities) to ensure successful test execution
- Procure and build test enabling support hardware as needed to execute product testing
- Facilitate on-site visits for Joby personnel
- B. S. in Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline with 8+ years of work experience in relevant industry
- Hands-on experience with performance verification and reliability testing of airborne electronic hardware or similar
- Experience testing hardware to DO-160, MIL-810 type (or similar standards) environmental standards.
- Practical experience in using miscellaneous lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, NI DAQ systems, power analyzers, power supplies etc
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong analytical background
- Very strong communication and collaboration skills
- Expertise in using Python/ MATLAB/ NI Diadem to aid in data collection and analysis
- High attention to detail
- Experience with LabView for Data Acquisition and potentially automation (invoking desired equipment functions at different conditions)
- Experience with failure analysis techniques (non-destructive) and processes (FRACAS, etc.)
