- Core Job: Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business requirements. Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to gather and analyze reporting needs, providing inputs on metric definitions to drive Business Outcomes.
- Technical Expertise: Create and optimize data models using Power BI Desktop, ensuring efficient data retrieval and performance. Implement DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for advanced calculations and measures to enhance reporting capabilities. Integrate data from various sources, including SQL databases, Excel, SharePoint, and APIs, into Power BI.
- UX: Dashboards that are relevant, actionable, and aligned with business goals by understanding user personas. Design visually clear, concise, and impactful reports and dashboards that adhere to data visualization principles (CRAP).
- Advanced Analytics and AI Integration: Power BI is incorporating AI and machine learning capabilities, such as automated insights and smart narratives, which will require developers to adapt to new tools like Copilot for AI-driven insights and enhanced forecasting. You will need to create dashboards with increase sophistication that leverage these features.
- Table Stakes: Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security in all developed reports and dashboards. Perform testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of Power BI solutions.
- Enablement: Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI functionalities and best practices.
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
- Bachelor's degree in quantitative field, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 2+ years of proven experience as a Power BI Developer or Business Intelligence Engineer, with a strong portfolio showcasing Power BI projects and GenAI features utilization.
- Proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power Query, DAX, and data modeling techniques.
- Advocate for User centric design UX to deliver dashboards that are not only functional but also intuitive, visually appealing, and aligned with business needs.
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices and tools like Figma for prototyping
- Hands-on experience with AI features in Power BI, including AI visuals, Q&A, and decomposition trees, Copilot etc.
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry
