FACILITIES TECHNICIAN - Cincinnati Girl Scout CenterGirl Scouts of Western Ohio is seeking a part-time Facilities Technician to support the upkeep of our Cincinnati Girl Scout Center located in Blue Ash! This role will provide regular cleaning, janitorial care and light maintenance to ensure our space is well cared for and ready to inspire every visitor. A great candidate will bring prior experience in janitorial and maintenance work including general cleaning, response to maintenance requests and groundskeeping to ensure our campus is safe, clean and welcoming. This part-time position is year-round and offers up to 19 hours per week. Flexible schedule but hours must be in late afternoon through evening, typically between 4pm - 8pm.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Assist in maintaining office property and facilities.
  • Help to ensure facility operates in compliance with GSUSA and council policies, federal guidelines, state statutes, county regulations, OSHA requirements, and Ohio Department of Health regulations and agency standards.
  • Ensure appropriate use of facilities in accordance with site rules for all staff and visitors.
  • Responsible for performing janitorial functions including trash removal, bathrooms, floors, kitchens, and windows.
  • Provide customer service assistance to all site users including the set up and tear down of conference rooms.
  • Help ensure buildings, grounds, and equipment are clean, maintained, repaired, and replaced to
  • Maintain building maintenance and equipment maintenance records.
  • Help to maintain water, septic system, and plumbing schedules.
  • Monitor visitors to office property and ensure no unauthorized access to property.
  • Monitor site for damage caused by weather or vandalism and report to Facilities Manager.
  • Work in a manner to ensure personal safety and safety of others.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three years’ work experience in facility maintenance.
  • Knowledge of basic principles of construction, plumbing, electricity, facility maintenance, painting, equipment operation, inventory control procedures, and grounds maintenance.
  • Experience with the operation and maintenance of grounds keeping equipment: mowing equipment, snow removal equipment, trimmers, etc.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to the organization’s goals.
  • Self-directed with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Continuous requirement for professional demeanor and appropriate attire.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKThis is a year-round part-time position with a regular schedule of up to 19 hours per week. Non-traditional work hours will be included. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.TRAVELTravel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area travel may be expected to support another GSWO property.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to perform a variety of physical activities, including but not limited to moving furniture/appliances, loading site materials, manual excavation, and climbing ladders, for facility maintenance, and work in outdoor seasonal heat and cold. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.OTHER DUTIES
