Dallas, TX – hybrid, 3 days onsiteVaco is working on behalf of one of our privately-held billion-dollar clients to onboard a Senior Analyst as part of a newly created position. This role will almost entirely be dedicated towards forward-looking FP&A work with financial modeling at the forefront; Analysts will be engaged in constant hypotheticals and scenario modeling as the company explores new initiatives, lines of business, market expansion etc. The other half of the role will feature extensive business partnering including being the POC for sales and marketing-related spend.The department as whole features lots of growth opportunities across the board (this reports to an Analyst we placed a few years back that recently promoted to Manager).Compensation: $105-110K + BonusKey Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain robust financial models to evaluate sales performance, marketing spend, ROI, and pipeline conversion metrics.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership to provide data-driven insights, forecasts, and recommendations that influence strategic decisions.
- Support the annual planning, quarterly forecasting, and monthly reporting processes for revenue and marketing expenses.
- Analyze customer acquisition costs, lifetime value, campaign effectiveness, and channel profitability.
- Track and report on sales pipeline metrics in collaboration with Sales Operations, identifying risks and opportunities.
- Prepare executive-level presentations and dashboards summarizing performance, KPIs, and scenario analyses.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales Ops, Marketing Ops, Finance, BI) to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment in financial reporting.
- Identify process improvements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency and accuracy of reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 4–6+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or related fields.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and forecasting.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with financial planning tools (e.g., Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Hyperion) and BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Proven ability to partner with commercial teams (Sales & Marketing) and provide actionable insights.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious with a problem-solving mindset.
