
Maintenance Technician: $34 - $42/hr, plus 4% bonus potential Job

- Equipment is designed to meet its intended or existing service conditions. Equipment includes but is not limited to: pumps, boilers, air compressors, piping, pressure vessels, storage tanks, blowers, cooling towers.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment and plant facilities and update maintenance records and equipment history.
- Provide experience on failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations.
- During repairs ensure that repair details such as tolerances, torque specifications, materials of construction, etc. are provided and documented. Provide technical support as needed.
- Ensure repair techniques, repair procedures, and equipment specific training are documented and made available.
- Develop and review maintenance procedures based on Most Effective Technology (MET).
- Utilize SAP software to close out work orders and preventive maintenance tasks, file technical reports on repairs, and confirm time worked on completed tasks.
- Provide technical support for specification, identification, and purchasing of needed parts.
- Help review and manage spare parts list for existing equipment and work with MRO to ensure parts are identified, added, and stocked in the MRO system in support of the maintenance strategy.
- Serve as a technical resource to the planner on work packages and scheduling.
- During development of turnaround work, provide input on scope of work.
- Complete all assigned Atlas action items and MOC trainings.
- Support all AIMS initiatives.
- Comply with the HSEQ Policy.
- Comply with Regulations, Legal and Internal Requirements as made known by the site and by the business unit (BU).
- Comply with the rules of the specific location to which one is assigned as well as the rules set by the business unit (BU) and Arkema Inc.
- Comply with all standard procedures and work instructions, a.k.a. SP, SOP, PWI, TM, to ensure productivity, quality assurance and cost effectiveness.
- Review their work areas for potential losses and report hazards to the direct supervisor.
- Report Near Misses, Incidents, or Accidents to the direct supervisor.
- Identify and communicate potential gains or possible improvements to the management system.
- Participate in HSEQ activities provided by the site management, Arkema Coating Resins and Arkema, Inc.
- Ensures workplace safety by conducting safety observations and reviews while adhering to safety regulations and procedures.
- Participate in the maintenance department on-call rotation schedule to service equipment failures during off-hour shifts.
- Overtime as required for unplanned equipment failures at the facility.
- All other duties as assigned
- Minimum requirements: High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship
- Must be a highly motivated, team player and able to work independently.
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times.
- Must be able to work from ladders, scaffolding or powered lifts when required.
- 4+ years of manufacturing experience
- Strong mechanical and industrial skills
- Pump experience
