Even if every item on the job posting doesn't match your experience perfectly, we encourage you to apply and share how your skills and experience can best serve our community.Examples of Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversee and provide High Level Administrative Functions, and administer designated Equal Opportunities programs and services, including complaint processing, investigations, enforcement, staff supervision, training and process improvement.Manage, oversee, and administer designated Equal Opportunities programs and services including but not limited to intake, mediations, investigations, conciliations, hearings and outreach and training.Manage related training services and staff.Oversee contracts with the Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and any other contracts/work-sharing agreements.Provide support and assistance to the (EOC) Executive Committee and Equal Opportunities Commission both directly and through staff.Participate in the general management of the Department of Civil Rights as a member of the management team.Perform related duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsFour (4) years of experience in the following:State and federal laws, regulations, policies and legal resources relating to equal opportunity and civil rights, including understanding of the protections that are found in MGO 39.03.Principles and practices of dispute resolution, mediation and negotiation as they relate to equal opportunity and civil rights cases.ANDTwo (2) years of experience in the following:Community outreach and training principles and practices.Computer software applicable to the duties of the position.Full range of supervisory principles and practices, labor relations and personnel management.
ORFour (4) years of directly related leadership experience in the investigation and resolution of allegations of discrimination, civil rights, equal opportunity or related matters. AND * Two (2) years of experience in supervising in an office environment. AND
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, a social science or other related area.
