- Understand current trends as well as operational financials.
- Active oversight of beverage service activities in food and beverage outlets. Direct responsibility of all outlet beverage functions.
- Bring fresh and trendy ideas to our beverage offerings with new cocktail recipes, liquor trends, promotions, marketing, etc. which will set us at/above level of local competition.
- Follow through on out of stock items, IOU’s, etc, to ensure all par stocks maintained in the outlets.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills will result in efficient storeroom inventory control, and efficiency of various beverage related functions.
- Train beverage service staff in beverage service, bar management, bar cleanliness.
- Beverage Manager is to save and efficiently utilize labor hours through effective scheduling of beverage staff, and intelligent assignment of their responsibilities and duties.
- Actively participate in month end beverage inventory, weekly par checks and weekly ordering.
- Prepares requisitions and verifies supplies and food items for production in work stations.
- Experience in development and implementation of successful guest service initiatives required.
- Experience in a similar setting to include scheduling, staff member relations, staffing, hiring and promotions, counseling and corrective discipline
- Ensure all staff uniforms and appearance meet the requirements of Omni Hotels & Resorts.
- Constantly perform positive up-selling techniques with service staff.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
- 2-4 years of Beverage or Food & Beverage Management experience preferred.
- Must be able to work all shifts including AM’s, PM’s, overnight, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have strong communication and analytic skills as well as the ability to drive the team towards a common goal.
- Prior experience managing schedules, inventory, payroll, service recovery and associate relations matters required.
- Knowledge of KY liquor laws. Strong familiarity with beer, wine and spirits; local knowledge preferred.
- Candidate must have proven leadership skills and must be able to train, develop, and motivate staff.
- Ability to teach employees importance of and how to interact with internal/external guests and courteously solve internal requests.
- Able to set priorities for the team and provide feedback to others that enhances performance.
- Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
- Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment.
- Must be proficient with computers.
- Ability to work well under pressure, managing a high volume of orders and guest requests.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and provide guest follow up in a fast paced environment.
- Must be STAR & Food Handler certified.
- ServSafe Manager certification required.
- Move, bend, push, pull, lift, carry and place objects weighing up to 30 pounds without assistance. Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires repetitive motion, including frequent bending, twisting and extending arms overhead.
