- Train and lead descriptive analysis panelists. Manage research projects from design to report/presentation stage. Develop appropriate statistical methodologies to resolve or clarify issues or problems. Tailor statistical analysis of complex data sets into an easily understandable format. Help develop and implement sensory evaluation and consumer research protocols that provide customer insight for the development of new products.
- Provide technical assistance to appropriate groups with knowledge of current and innovative sensory and statistical methodologies by making and maintaining contact with outside suppliers.
- Provide proper documentation for project research, descriptive panel training programs and plant training programs.
- Contribute to profitability by suggesting innovative project and process ideas; participates in follow through with development and implementation of the programs. Contributes to a positive and rewarding team and working environment within Simplot.
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) Sensory Science, Food Science, Food Engineering, Food Technology, Culinary Science or a related field from 4 year college or university required
- Master's Degree preferred
- Demonstrates knowledge in key descriptive and consumer research protocols
- Competent in statistical analysis of qualitative and quantitative data sets (XLSTAT preferred)
- Experience in managing research projects from design to report/presentation stage
- Proven ability to lead a group through training activities
- Experience in technical report writing highly desirable
