Our global experience and broad capabilities provide an exciting and diverse environment for the continuing growth of our team.We are seeking talented and experienced Emissions and OBD Calibration Engineers to join our growing team. Successful candidates will be responsible for developing, calibrating, and testing tailpipe emissions controls systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide emissions support for multiple programs that have open compliance investigations.
  • Implement corrective action for emissions standards across several programs.
  • Work with customers to deliver emissions and OBD requirements for cert review.
  • Perform emission transparency for FTP’s.
  • Conduct FTP emissions testing with prototypes.
  • Conduct OBDII self-cert transparency testing.
  • Provide any necessary OBD calibration tuning to complete the required self-cert test.
  • Provide data logging, data collection, and summaries to calibration team for DVR tailpipe emissions and OBD targets.
  • Analyze test data and perform statistical analysis to assess emissions performance, diagnose issues, and optimize calibration parameters.
  • Provide calibration input to Lead Calibration Engineer to support all releases and DVR completion.
  • Deliver tailpipe emissions and OBD for all in-use programs.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory developments, and advancements in emissions control technology to inform calibration strategies and implementation.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree is Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related fields. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in emissions calibration, OBD development, or related areas within the automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of emissions regulations, including EPA, CARB, Euro, and other global emissions standards.
  • Experience with emissions testing procedures, instrumentation, and data collection systems.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and interface with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
  • Travel: 10-15% travel, within USA.
  • Work environment: Office/computer work and lab testing environments.
