We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Atlanta, GA.WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Help manage product sustainment in a production process with engineering improvements, product cost down, and sourcing engineering support
- Perform and own design updates of embedded electronics, including hardware selection, schematic & PCB updates, board bring-up, validation and system level integration
- Work closely with other electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to perform product updates driven by new feature requests and/or component obsolescence's
- Troubleshoot issues that span the electrical and software boundaries, with solid skills using both lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM, etc.) and software debugging tools
- Support sourcing teams with managing long lead and end-of-life components to ensure continuous production.
- Work in a fast-paced environment supporting new product introductions, active deployments, and customer operated hardware
- Balance involvement in multiple sustaining projects at various stages to ensure timely and effective results.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience designing, testing, troubleshooting and sustaining complex embedded systems and products
- Demonstrated experience with some of the following: 8- and 32-bit Microcontrollers, Linux-based SOCs, Ethernet, common communication busses (SPI, I2C), and power regulation
- Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, current-probes, and automation of tests
- Exceptional organization and communication skills (both written and oral)
- Proficient with Altium Designer or equivalent electronic design automation design tools
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
- Knowledge of embedded software development, including use of timers, interrupts, hardware peripherals such as SPI controllers and ADCs
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira
- Familiarity with software development processes and tools such as git, Github, etc
- Experience with developing for a safety-critical environment
- Experience working on products used in tough environments (automotive, aerospace, defense, etc.)
