The role will partner with the Principle and Senior Advanced Industrial Engineers to lead projects that efficiently integrate human, machine, methods and materials for products and processes.Position Advanced Industrial EngineerLocation USA, Louisville, KYHow You'll Create PossibilitiesStrategic Planning (5%)
  • Develops objectives and actions to achieve given project assignments.
Lead Improvement Activities (70%)
  • Leads projects to improve design for manufacturing & assembly for new product introductions.
  • Leads projects to ensure that the tooling, equipment, and processes are compatible with the existing process.
  • Leads projects to help Advanced Manufacturing design effective and efficient human and machine interfaces.
  • Leads projects on existing process to improve inefficiencies.
  • Utilize simulation software to plan and optimize assembly lines and processes prior to execution.
Other related duties as assigned (25%)
  • Comply with EHS&S and ergonomic requirements; utilize principles to ensure that all equipment/processes are implemented with the health and safety of the operators in mind.
  • Maintain the master BoP (Bill of Process) for a specific assigned site(s).
  • Partner with factory master plan leader and site lean teams to update and maintain accurate value stream map for the site(s).
  • Collaborates with central materials and site material teams to ensure material flow guiding principles are maintained /considered.
  • Develop own capability using the latest technology and tools.
  • Documents and shares best practices and lessons learned.
  • Provides strong support in cultivating an environment that encourages problem solving, critical thinking, and innovation.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
What You'll Bring to Our TeamMinimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or scientific-related field.
  • Shop floor experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Project tracking and detailed planning skills
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and at multiple levels in the organization (both salaried and shop floor operators/skilled trades team members.)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Computer Literate and skilled in Microsoft Office and CAD.
  • Ability to travel (10%-25%)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering
  • SCDP Graduate
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in industrial engineering within manufacturing.
  • Experience with Human Capability and Discrete Event Simulation Software, CREO
Working Conditions:
  • Working conditions are normal for both an office and manufacturing environment.
  • Work may involve lifting materials and product up to 25 pounds.
