- Oversee all aspects of financial operations, including budgeting, financial planning and analysis, and financial reporting
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Prepare financial statements and analysis, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
- Coordinate and oversee the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations
- Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk
- Oversees the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards
- Recommends benchmarks that will be used to measure the company’s performance
- Produces the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management
- Provides financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments
- Works with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit
- Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned
- Oversees the operations of the Accounting department, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, and treasury management
- High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- CPA certification preferred
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in financial management roles
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
- Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in financial software and systems, with the ability to adapt and learn new systems
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
