Ultrasound Technologist Job Details
- Location: Plattsburgh, NY 12901 Ideal for healthcare professionals seeking New York ultrasound jobs in a lakeside city with abundant outdoor recreation and a welcoming community.
- Facility: Hospital Radiology Ultrasound Unit
- Position Type: Travel Ultrasound Technologist
- Shift: 8-hour rotating shifts (Day/Eve: 08:30-17:00 or 15:00-23:30)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Contract Length: 26 weeks (Start: 10/6/2025, End: 4/6/2026)
- Weekend/On-Call: Required
- Equipment Used: GE Logiq 9, PACS-Visage, EPIC EMR
- Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,600 - $2,790
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting
- Current ARDMS certification (AB and/or OB required)
- Active BLS certification
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR within the last 2 years
- Ability to float to Valcour Imaging as needed
- Reliable transportation (personal or rental vehicle required; public transportation not available)
- All-season or snow tires required NovemberApril
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in the hospital Radiology Ultrasound Unit
- Float to Valcour Imaging as needed to support clinical operations
- Participate in weekend and on-call rotations as part of the imaging team
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment (GE Logiq 9) and ensure accurate imaging results
- Document all procedures and patient information accurately in EPIC EMR
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
- Complete all required work history information for submission, including bed count, EMR experience, and facility type; explain any employment gaps over 90 days
