We are looking for a Controller for our client in Westlake. The Controller will manage all accounting and financial reporting functions while playing a key role in shaping financial strategy. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, responsible for ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial processes.Salary: $80,000-$120,000Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and revenue recognition.
  • Prepare accurate financial statements, monthly close packages, and cash flow analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and all applicable regulations.
  • Lead annual budget development and monitor performance against targets.
  • Provide financial forecasts, scenario modeling, and data-driven insights to support executive decision-making.
  • Track key performance metrics, including cash flow, burn rate, and SaaS-specific KPIs.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage audits, tax filings, and external financial reviews.
  • Ensure adherence to state, federal, and industry-specific compliance requirements.
  • Partner with leadership to guide pricing strategy and long-term financial planning.
  • Mentor and support finance and operations staff or external partners.
  • Evaluate and implement financial tools to enhance scalability and efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, ideally in SaaS or software environments.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, revenue recognition rules, and accounting software.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis.
  • Hands-on approach with exceptional attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
