- The Process Mechanical SME must be able to lead groups of people through the design phases of a project including User Requirement development, Design input, and review as well as lead FATs. This could include providing direction, schedule, and oversight of other’s deliverables and work.
- The Process Mechanical SME must understand the intent of and participate in the development of User Requirements. They must review design drawings and specifications and provide timely feedback to the design team.
- The Process Mechanical SME must be able to work with clients, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful project execution. The candidate should be capable of overseeing the implementation of design at the job site, identifying, and communicating issues, and facilitating their resolution. The candidate must also be capable of determining requirements and approaches for testing at both system and equipment levels.
- The Process Mechanical SME must be able to create and organize documentation to meet project requirements. This includes the creation and assembly of turnover packages. The candidate must be able to effectively document, track, and drive the resolution of issues identified in design and construction.
- The Process Mechanical SME must be capable of leading/or participating in equipment and systems start-up. In this role, they must be knowledgeable of safety aspects as well as support commissioning and qualification activities.
- The Process Mechanical SME may be asked to support the Owner’s engineering and operations staff during the early days of operations. In this role, they often leaned on technical knowledge and skills regarding the newly delivered equipment and systems.
- S. Engineering- Mechanical/Chemical or 10 years equivalent experience in mechanical disciplines is required
- Construction-related experience is required
- Technical background in industry/military is preferred
- Savvy in Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint
- Experience in hygienic systems and processes is preferred
- A strong technical knowledge and skills in Process Mechanical systems is required
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with chemical, pharmaceutical, bioprocesses, etc., or utilities such as steam generation, WFI generation, etc. is preferred
- Effective meeting management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to dig into details.
- Ability to work independently with little day–to–day direction.
- Ability to work with a technical mindset in both design and construction.
