Description :We are looking for a team oriented and experienced Order Picker to play a vital role in servicing our customers through the picking and shipment of daily orders in our North Carolina Distribution Center. As part of the Distribution Team, you will help to continuously improve team performance and production by driving opportunities for efficiency in team performance and production. You will service our customers while working with internal customers to make change that will lead to increased sales and profits. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity.First Shift: Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PMOvertime: Must be flexible to work overtime past 5:00 PM when volume is high.General Description
  • Operate manual rolling cart, manual pallet jack, Order Picker Forklift, or Electric Pallet Jack to fulfill orders. Will require use of Very Narrow Aisle Equipment.
  • Work from requisition, order list, or stock list.
  • Pull master cases of items for order and check off document as materials are pulled.
  • Fill material requisitions promptly, accurately, detect defective material and report shortages.
  • Place pulled items in tote or box, or on pallet or cart and label.
  • Use RF devices and prepare labels.
  • Accumulate orders, record items pulled, report shortages and transport completed orders to distribution point, staging area, or shipping dock.
  • May return/place stock in storage area at proper bin or storage location.
  • May take inventory or stored items.
  • May be required to do cycle counts, as necessary.
  • Develop a strong rapport with other teams promoting communications to minimize business interruptions and maintain high service standards both internally and externally.

  • Ability to assist in the creation of processes that best benefit the entire team.

Requirements
  • Basic computer experience.
  • Basic math, language and writing skills.
  • Attention to detail.
Educational/Certification Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Forklift Certification (in house)
