- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
- Desire to obtain Alabama State Professional Engineering certification.
- Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawing.
- Solid understanding of 2D AutoCAD and 3D Modeling using Inventor.
- Strong understanding and ability to do mechanical design calculations. Emphasis on rotating equipment, ASME Code, and fatigue.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- General understanding of material properties (metals, polymers, ceramics).
- Must be able to work independently.
- Learn and understand the basic design and operation of continuous cooking system equipment.
- Work with the Andritz Glens Falls Fiberline engineering group as well as with customers to service the installed base of feedline equipment.
- Provide technical support to Andritz Glens Falls Spare Parts group.
- Provide support to Andritz Pell City Rebuild Center for drawing and design changes.
- Manage the ECR (Engineering Change Request) process.
- Become the SME for ASME design, fabrication and testing performed in Pell City, AL.
- Assist the Fiberline estimators in creating technical and commercial proposals.
- Provide on-site Field Service support for mill maintenance outages.
- Work with no supervision while prioritizing work to meet strict deadlines.
- Maintain key customer relationships.
