- Communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) and collaboratively with students, parents and staff
- Participate in building data team meetings and district school psychologist meetings.
- Assists in the completion of special education evaluations under the f13 eligibility categories that are recognized in the state of Illinois, psychological reports, and special education documents.
- Use a variety of assessment tools to assess academic skills, cognitive ability, psychological processing, adaptive and social skills, emotional/behavioral status and mental health status.
- Integrate evaluation data into a clear, organized and educationally relevant evaluation report
- Facilitate special education eligibility meetings.
- Use technology fluently to manage all components of the job.
- Maintain records in an accurate and confidential manner consistent with applicable rules.
- Capacity to drive between schools during the work day.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complete all university program requirements to successfully complete internship experience.
- Enrolled in an accredited Master’s degree or higher school psychology program.
- Enrolled in an internship class with a university program advisor.
- Demonstrates successful completion of school psychology practicum experience.
- Demonstrates successful course completion in cognitive, behavioral, and academic testing and related skills.
- Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with the University and the District Clinical Supervisor of the intern.
- This is a 9-month position.
- Stipend of $19,000.
