- Develop, document, and maintain system-level vehicle platform requirements and decompose them into sub-system (e.g., ECU, sensor, communication, HMI, compute) requirements.
- Support development of the systems engineering V-model process for the vehicle platform lifecycle: from architecture, requirements, and design, through verification, validation, and support for launch.
- Manage interface definitions and technical risks, ensuring robust connectivity between vehicle electronics, software, and cloud-based components.
- Support the definition of system architecture diagrams, data flows, and technical budgets to achieve desired system performance, safety, and serviceability.
- Own the execution of system and subsystem-level analysis, including trade studies on sensors, compute, network, and vehicle mechanical integration.
- Define, plan, and support execution of verification and validation activities, including bench, simulation, and vehicle-level tests.
- Collaborate closely with technical program managers, product owners, and engineering leads to ensure smooth transition from research concepts to productized deployment.
- Lead and participate in technical design reviews, both internally and with suppliers or external partners.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering field.
- 6+ years of professional experience in complex systems development, preferably in the automotive, robotics, or embedded domains.
- Demonstrated experience with requirements engineering, system architecture, systems integration, and verification/validation processes.
- Strong understanding of vehicle electronics (ECU, sensors, actuators), functional safety standards, and typical automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet)
- Experience conducting technical trade studies and working cross-functionally in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Hands-on experience with system and vehicle-level testing, debugging, and launching safety-critical products.
- Excellent documentation and technical communication skills.
- Experience in the design and launch of vehicle platforms supporting advanced driver assistance (ADAS), autonomous driving, or connected vehicle features.
- Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, CI/CD processes for embedded and vehicle systems, and enterprise-grade security and compliance.
- Familiarity with deployment of Platform as a Service infrastructures, or large-scale distributed architectures in an enterprise or automotive environment.
- Exposure to model-based design, simulation, or virtual vehicle platform architectures.
