- Review the RFQ to understand its intent, requirements, details, timing, and scope.
- Create detailed take-offs for the equipment and ancillary devices based on the scope and overall conveyor knowledge.
- Prepare bid packs for sub-contractors and continually review customer specifications and standards for compliance.
- Obtain pricing on purchased equipment and fabricated items as necessary and add costs to each line item in the estimate.
- Ensure all items of work are included and review subcontractor proposals for content, price, and clarifications.
- Consider cost savings or value-added alternatives and review any engineering or feasibility considerations.
- Assist in preparing the final quote and documents for submission to the customer, ensuring all details and clarifications are included.
- Establish a plan for the timing and completion of the Scope of Work.
- Review the quote with the Estimating Manager and Sales, and work with engineering and operations as necessary to complete the quote.
- Provide critical information for job kickoff and setup for the job budget, and provide estimates for job field orders and/or change orders.

- B.S. Preferred in Industrial Management, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in an industrial equipment manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive and/or fiberglass insulation manufacturing industries.
- Experience in large project estimating, full scope, and bidding.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and Excel.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD/Inventor and ability to read blueprints.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, including overnight trips, to attend bid meetings and review job sites (less than 10%).
