Pre-requisite:
  • Complete understanding of mortgage operations, investor guidelines, and federal/state regulations
  • Familiarity with shipping, funding, and post-closing procedures
  • Complete familiarity with mortgage closing title functions, POA review, escrow instructions, wire disbursements, and balance all escrow related accounts.
  • Proficiency in Experience with Encompass LOS, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with FHA, USDA, VA, Conventional, and Non-QM loan products
Responsibilities include:
  • Managing a team of 6-10 closers and funders.
  • Interviewing, hiring, and training employees
  • Planning, assigning, and directing work to meet department SLA’s and KPI’s.
  • Manage daily operations of the closing department
  • Review and approve final closing documents and calculations
  • Coordinate with attorneys, title agents, and internal teams
  • Build and promote title/3rd party relationships.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state mortgage regulations
  • Oversee disbursement of loan funds
  • Implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy
  • Train and supervise closing staff
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years documented management experience as a department decision maker.
Preferred Skills
  • Licensed Notary-if local.
