Senior Tax Accountant Duties and Responsibilities (include but not limited to)
Manage the preparation, review and documentation of the Company’s quarterly and annual worldwide tax provisions under ASC 740, including management of all domestic and foreign income tax related accounts and maintenance of SOX controls
Manage the preparation of domestic federal and state income tax returns, (consolidated corporate and partnership) including proper application of foreign related rules affecting the U.S. federal tax returns, working with outsourced external tax preparers
Oversee estimates and extension calculations for three U.S. consolidated groups
Research and evaluate complex accounting transactions and issues to ensure proper tax accounting treatment and disclosure, including M&A purchase accounting and equity compensation transactions
Identify opportunities to improve current processes and procedures related to the tax accounting function, including software solutions and data management
Compile data and work with outside consultant on the preparation of transfer pricing calculations, ensuring proper documentation for intercompany services and other transactions
Assist the VP Tax in working with the worldwide finance teams to identify, analyze and implement programs or transactions to reduce the Company’s taxes, minimize risk, and maintain a consistent global tax strategy
Manage U.S. federal and state tax examinations
Assist in tax due diligence and analysis related to potential acquisition targets
Assist in global restructuring and other strategic tax planning projects
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting with Masters of Tax and/or CPA preferred
3 – 5 years of corporate tax experience in public accounting and/or industry (SEC registrant preferred) with medium/large multinational company
Solid understanding of ASC 740 with 3+ years of strong experience managing tax provision projects in a medium/large, multinational company
Experience with Subpart F, GILTI, 163(j) and other international reporting rules
Experience with a legal entity structure consisting of multiple corporations, partnerships and disregarded entities
