Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance, location and salary range at the time of the offer.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate and treat patients requiring speech-language therapy.
  • Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.
  • Educate and counsel patient and family regarding treatment plans.
  • Maintain clinical records and follow performance improvement recommendations.
  • Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from speech therapy services.
  • Provide information regarding appropriate support programs.
RequirementsLicensure / Certification / Registration:
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required.
  • Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. A valid license pending letter will be accepted until license is issued.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
Additional PreferencesSpeech experience in Stroke- including speech, swallowing, cognitive-communication, and some voice experience is needed.
