- Oversee all greenhouse growing decisions
- Manage plant diseases and IPM programs
- Develop written crop protocols for all varieties including watering practices, temperature regulations, preventative spray program, growth regulation program, pest potentials, pinching/trimming requirements, fertilization requirements, optimal light levels, etc.
- Ensure compliance with all OSHA, state and federal regulations
- Ensure that the proper timings are in the plan for all crops in all seasons
- Experience with annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, and tropicals in containers
- Advanced plant and horticultural knowledge
- IPM experience, 5 - 10 years preferred
- Ability to work independently, yet take a lead role in a team oriented structure
- Proficient Computer Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
- High level of organizational and planning skills with specific ability to prioritize activities
