The University of Iowa Community Clinics (UICC) is seeking a patient centered 80% (32 hours a week) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work at our UI Health Care Muscatine Pediatric Clinic. This position will mainly support our Muscatine Pediatrics Clinics but could float to other patient specialties/clinic locations including but not limited to: Pediatrics, Family Medicine, and/or Specialty/Outreach Clinics.For over 100 years, Iowa Healthcare’s primary focus has been the health and wellness of our patients.   • Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
  • Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
  • In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.
  • Current valid driver’s license and the ability to meet the University Driving Policy Standards

No Monday or weekends required. No on-call time or holidays required.Location: Muscatine, IA. (or surround clinics based on clinical need or hours)Pay Grade: 11Salary: $44,557.92 - $66,377.52 (at 100% time) (Hourly: $21.34 - $31.79) (based on years of experience)Minimum Eligibility Requirements
  • Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the Iowa Board of Nursing, or eligible for temporary work permit. Responsible to take the required continuing education hours to maintain a valid LPN certification
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support provider
Special Qualification/License:
  • Driver's License and ability to meet UI Fleet Safety Standards.
  • Demonstrated excellent written/verbal communication
Desirable Qualifications
  • Previous EPIC experience
  • Minimum 6 months ambulatory experience
  • Previous immunization experience
  • Previous pediatric clinic experience is preferred
  • Previous phlebotomy experience
