- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Active Bar Admission in the District of Columbia, in good standing.
- 3–4 years of substantive experience in intellectual property litigation, with a focus on patent and trade secrets disputes.
- Technical Background: A degree in Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science is strongly preferred.
- PTAB Experience: Experience with inter partes review (IPR) petitions is highly desirable.
- USPTO: Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office is preferred, but not required.
- Prior experience at an AmLaw 100 or similarly sophisticated firm preferred.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills, with the ability to manage complex matters effectively and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Represent technology, software, and digital media clients in sophisticated patent and trade secrets litigation in federal courts and before the ITC.
- Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs in complex IP matters, and assist in all phases of litigation from discovery through trial and appeal.
- Prepare and prosecute inter partes review petitions and other proceedings before the Patent Trial and Appeal Board.
- Provide strategic counseling to clients on intellectual property enforcement and defense strategies.
- Collaborate across practice groups to deliver integrated and innovative legal solutions.
- Competitive Compensation: Annual base salary is expected to range from $260,000 – $310,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors.
