Location: Kent Campus HospitalStatus: Part Time 64 HoursShift: DaysSALARY RANGE: 27.67 - 41.50HOURLYGeneral Summary:The Media Specialist supports academic and clinical excellence by assisting medical staff, nurses, residents, fellows, and faculty in locating and retrieving relevant literature, clinical guidelines, and research materials. This role also supports the Simulation Center by assisting with digital media organization, educational resource development, and simulation scenario preparation.Responsibilities:1. Research & Information Support (50%) a. Assist team members, faculty, residents, and fellows with literature searches, article retrieval, and reference management. b. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of available medical databases (e.g., PubMed, UpToDate). c. Provide instruction on how to access and use library resources effectively. d. Support GME research initiatives by assisting with systematic literature reviews, bibliographies, and citation formatting. e. Track and manage subscriptions and access credentials for digital medical libraries and journals. f. Support development and maintenance of research tools for GME 2. Simulation Center & Media Support (40%) a. Assist with the preparation of educational materials for simulation-based training (e.g., scenario documents, video recording, multimedia files). b. Help record, edit, and archive simulation sessions for debriefing and quality improvement purposes. c. Manage the media library of simulation content, ensuring accessibility and proper storage of educational media. d. Collaborate with simulation staff to enhance digital tools and reference resources used during training. 3. Administrative & Cross-Functional Support (10%) a. Provide support for academic conferences, journal clubs, and research presentations. b. Assist in maintaining compliance with accreditation standards (ACGME, AHA, etc.) related to research education and simulation. c. Participate in meetings and special projects within GME and Simulation departments as assigned. d. Assist in submission of applications for Continuing Medical Education 4.
