As an Investment Analyst specializing in real estate, you will play a pivotal role in driving data-driven investment decisions and supporting the growth of 11 Capital’s multifamily and self-storage portfolios. This role requires strong analytical skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex financial models and conduct market research with precision. From underwriting new acquisitions and preparing detailed financial analyses to collaborating with asset management and operations teams, you will be at the center of the investment process. Underwriting & Deal Analysis:
- Support the underwriting process from initial deal review through final investment recommendation.
- Develop and refine pro forma financial models, incorporating feedback from senior team members.
- Assist in preparing underwriting materials and reports for the investment team.
- Coordinate with operations, asset management, construction, and finance teams to ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Manage underwriting progress tracking, including file organization and database management.
- Conduct research on key market metrics, trends, and indicators across target markets.
- Prepare market research materials and presentations to support acquisitions and asset management teams.
- Maintain and update internal databases of sales comparables, construction pipelines, and market data.
- Produce regular market reports and contribute to broader research initiatives for leadership.
- Collaborate with asset management teams to monitor the performance of multifamily and self-storage assets.
- Develop and refine reporting tools, templates, and operational documents.
- Support investment projects, including ROI analyses and strategic reviews.
- Partner with asset management and operations teams on initiatives to evaluate and enhance property performance.
- Assist in evaluating potential refinancing or disposition opportunities within the existing portfolio.
- Support the investment team in developing refinancing strategies, timelines, and decision-making processes.
- Update internal underwriting models with current assumptions and property performance data.
- Prepare financial materials, property documents, and projections for potential and current lenders or brokers.
- Assist in due diligence for acquisitions, financings, and dispositions.
- Prepare investment memoranda, presentations, and analyses for leadership and investors.
- Evaluate financing scenarios and acquisition structures.
- Participate in hold/sell/refinance analyses to inform portfolio-level decisions.
- Help identify and monitor turnaround strategies for underperforming assets.
- Travel to existing or target markets as needed.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field is required.
- 1–3 years of experience in real estate investments, acquisitions, development, brokerage, capital markets, or lending is required.
- Must possess strong financial modeling skills in Excel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
- Strong abilities within quantitative and data-driven analytical approaches.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong communication, organizational, and research skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage simultaneous projects and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Proactive, resourceful, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Significant interest in multifamily and self-storage investment.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Able to work in-office and travel to sites as needed. Remote work can be an option from time to time, but this is a role that requires the candidate to work in-person.
- The base compensation range for this position is $70,000 to $90,000.
