
Operations Manager, Paper Mill

- Must follow Ahlstrom's manufacturing and hygiene processes, procedures and policies, as applicable, to the position's areas of responsibility, in order to meet and maintain the safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements for each grade of paper.
- Manage multiple machines producing specialty grades of paper.
- Manage an operating budget of $20MM, a salaried staff of up to 10 direct reports and up to 75 union personnel to deliver on EBITDA goals.
- Champion the Continuous Improvement process utilizing key CI tools as well as other improvement tools, such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma to improve product quality and operating processes.
- Deliver the safe and efficient production of the highest quality product at the lowest cost through employee engagement and the development and implementation of systems, and training and development of all personnel.
- A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in paper manufacturing.
- A minimum of 3 to 4 years as a Business Unit or Area Manager.
- Managerial experience in Paper Manufacturing Operations.
- Demonstrated experience developing and managing departmental budgets, positively managing and developing direct reports to build organizational strength and developing process capabilities to enhance system capacity to achieve product development success.
- Demonstrated results in quality improvement, customer satisfaction and process capability in a dynamic environment.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
