Required Qualifications:
- Master's or terminal degree in Media Journalism and Communications.
- At least three years recent teaching experience in Media Studies and Communication Studies at the college level.
- Ability to be on campus Monday - Friday as well as evenings and alternative schedules as needed.
- Familiarity with and/or ability to quickly learn computer technologies used in communication, teaching, and record keeping (word processing, basic spread sheets, Canvas and Banner).
- Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively with others and the ability to work collaboratively.
- 3 - 5 years' experience teaching media studies and communication or writing at a community college.
- Experience in advising student media publications.
- Prior experience developing and teaching online classes with the Canvas LMS.
- Industry experience (Journalism, Media, Public Relations, Communications).
