- Manages and monitors entirely new products and programs awarded to PMC of significance, with exclusions that may include detailed components or small packages not requiring program management resources.
- Ensures PMC production planning is accurate, up to date, and represents the processes required to produce quality products without concern.
- Develop objectives by reviewing project plans
- Completes technical studies by studying plans and specifications and calculating time requirements
- Works closely and in cooperation with quality control, engineering, and document control on quote updates, revision changes, corrective action measures, and engineering changes
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve production issues, such as defects, material problems, or equipment malfunctions, using analytical skills and technical expertise.
- Demonstrates the authority to stop any production order for quality concerns
- Reviews planned operation support requirements, which includes tooling and vendors
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for manufacturing processes, including work instructions, inspection plans, and quality control procedures.
- Prepares engineering cost estimate and status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, and by recommending actions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Programming, Planning, Tooling, Quality, and Production teams to ensure seamless integration of manufacturing plans and processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing principles and identify areas for process optimization and efficiency gains.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that manufactured products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements, through inspection and delivery to customer.
- Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing methods, and relevant regulations.
- Leadership & Teamwork: May lead or mentor manufacturing teams and collaborate effectively with cross-functional groups.
- Documentation Management: Maintain and update manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, inspection plans, and assembly build sequence planning.
Performs other similar or related duties as necessary. Qualifications:
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 - 5 years experience with Assembly and Manufacturing processes required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering field highly preferred
- Work onsite
- Ability to read and interpret aerospace drawings, specifications, and customer requirements, including contracts
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills within a production environment
- The ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, deadline critical production environment
- Ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, time management and follow-up skills.
- Utilization of Microsoft Office applications including Teams and other
- Utilization of CATIA and Enovia software
- Possess a high degree of initiative and be self-motivated, ability to work with minimal supervision.
