- Specifically looking for candidate(s) experienced with power distribution system equipment - low and medium (480V-38kV)
- Must have extensive experience in protection and control in an industrial and/or in utilities focused environment. Will develop test plans for complex relay systems and successfully test and troubleshoot those systems. Experience working with different manufacturers relays to include but not limited to SEL, Siemens SIPROTEC, and GE Multilin is a plus.
- Ability to develop switching procedures, Methods of Procedure (MOP's), and advise on electrical safety matters related to scheduled work and unscheduled work.
- Responsibilities include installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up of LV and MV equipment. Responsibilities may also include troubleshooting, maintenance, training, and consulting.
- Flexibility on location possible depending on travel amount.
- This is a hands-on field, travel type position. The travel - up to 80% - could be national depending on site locations.
- This position may be called on to support Greenfield & Brownfield unit installations and commissioning activities throughout Siemens/ USA.
- This position may be hired at a lower level than posted if the candidate's experience warrants.
- High School or GED minimum
- 10+ years of experience with power distribution systems and low and medium voltage Switchgear, including protection and automation commissioning and troubleshooting experience with different relay systems such as SEL, Siemens SIPROTEC, and GE Multilin.
- 10+ years of experience in troubleshooting & repair of electrical control circuits, including breakers or high voltage equipment testing, including analyzing test results and equipment condition assessment.
- Must be available to respond for emergency and relief assignments.
- Must be familiar with OSHA (Operation & Support Hazard Analysis) safety practices and perform duties within specified guidelines to ensure safety of self and supporting crew
- This position must be based remotely within the Portland, Oregon area to support the geography of EA's business partners.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 80%.
- Individuals must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing and be at least 21 years of age in order to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years field service experience commissioning and troubleshooting
- Experience with protection and control relays
- Experience with project management software
- Experience with High Voltage Circuit breakers
- Knowledge and/or experience with SF6 Gas circuit breakers
- MSHA 46/48, OSHA 30, NFPA 70E
- TWIC card
- NETA/NICET
The pay range for this position is $89,670 - $153,720 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary.
