Job Title: Structural EngineerJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Structural Design Engineer to manage long-term projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. This role involves reviewing the work of designers and subcontractors, checking drawings for accuracy, and collaborating with subcontract engineering and design firms. You will lay out proposed systems using customer drawings and survey data, preferably with concrete foundations. Additionally, you will travel to job sites to provide technical advice and gather design information, as well as assist in evaluating, testing, and improving company systems.Responsibilities
  • Manage long-term projects to completion and within budget.
  • Review work of designers and subcontractors and check drawings for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with subcontract engineering and design firms.
  • Layout proposed systems using customer drawings and survey data, preferably with concrete foundations.
  • Travel to job sites to provide technical advice and gather design information.
  • Assist in evaluating, testing, and improving company systems.
Essential Skills
  • Proven working experience as a Civil Project Design Engineer.
  • Three years of experience in civil design work, specifically designing concrete foundations.
  • Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor design software.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to travel about 10% to 20%, primarily in North America.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication abilities.
  • Experience with mechanical design is a plus.
Work EnvironmentThis position requires occasional travel, approximately 10% to 20%. The work environment is dynamic, requiring collaboration with various engineering and design firms. You will work primarily with AutoCAD and Inventor design software in an office setting with opportunities to visit project sites.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract To Hire position based out of Columbus, Ohio.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $110000.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
