In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) programs to ensure the highest quality standards in our manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metrology experience with CMM programming, and a keen eye for precision and accuracy.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, write, and optimize CMM programs for inspecting complex components and assemblies
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T to create accurate measurement plans
- Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections using CMM
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CMM programming and measurement processes
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Maintain and update CMM programs as needed to support production changes
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records
- Proficiency in using CMM software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or similar
- Experience in a defense or aerospace manufacturing environment
- Certification in metrology or related fields
