- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions on all types of factory machinery including, Numerically Controlled (NC) and Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machine tools and controllers, gearboxes, stationary generator sets and machine accessories using various types of test equipment.
- Develop maintenance procedures when documentation is not available and devise and make tools to facilitate work.
- Obtain job assignments from data systems, from management or from engineers.
- Ability to review and interpret work orders, tie-ins, technical manuals, machine operations and are able to communicate with production employees to determine appropriate crafts skills and repairs needed to return machines back to production readiness.
- Obtain and analyze drawings, sketches, hydraulic schematics and specifications needed to perform assigned work to perform preventive and predictive maintenance inspections.
- Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.
- Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.
- Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.
- Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.
- Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.
- Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties.
- 3+ years' experience as a CNC machine repair mechanic, manufacturing building systems mechanic, or general equipment repair mechanic, (IE Pump repairs, ship repairs, large farming equipment or military equipment).
- Willing to work at heights up to 125 feet above ground level and pass Fall Protection Training.
- Willing to work overtime based on business requirements.
- Experience testing and diagnosing hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical components, and test equipment.
- Experience reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, material processes, schematic and diagrams.
- Ability to work around electromagnetic fields because of various types of production equipment.
- This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
- This position is for a variety of shifts .
