Pilgrim Road employees produce engines and transmissions for the final assembly plant in York, Pennsylvania, as well as transmissions, and replacement parts for sale through Harley-Davidson® Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories business. This position is responsible for inventory management and control of materials within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Skilled in utilizing inventory management systems and implementing processes to improve accuracy and efficiency. Adept at identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies and collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and solve root cause of discrepancies. Proven ability to maintain accurate inventory records, optimize warehouse operations, and ensure timely delivery of materials to production lines. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a strong commitment to safety and efficiencyJob Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates working knowledge and experience in Materials' Operation. Ability to drive results with moderate level of guidance and direction.
- Maintaining inventory accuracy through tracking material receivables, monitoring stock levels and ensuring accuracy through cycle counts and other methods.
- Generating reports on inventory status, material transactions, and other key performance indicators.
- Ensuring materials are moved efficiently and effectively through the supply chain, from receiving to storage to production or shipment.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Solves Materials' Operation problems by analyzing possible solutions using technical experience, judgment with a moderate level of guidance and direction.
- Provides informal guidance to new Materials' Operation team members and impacts the work of others within the group.
- Effectively communicates complex information involving Materials' Operation to others.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Required
- Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Materials Operation and key business drivers such as project management.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a group and/or team and provide guidance to new team members.
- Experience in a Continuous Improvement System (CIS).
- Demonstrated experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving, and logistics.
- Materials – SAP / AS400 system experience.
- An understanding of material replenishment, Kanban, material routes, and supermarket fulfillment.
- Travel required up to 10%.
