OverviewTRC is seeking a motivated Marketing Strategist to lead content development and support the delivery of marketing strategies for TRC’s demand-side management and demand response programs in Oklahoma and across the Central U.S.The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller and strategic thinker who can translate complex energy concepts into compelling, customer-centered content. They are eager to learn, proactive, and highly organized, with excellent communication skills. We are looking for a team member who is passionate about advancing clean energy initiatives and who will become a subject matter expert in demand response and time-based electricity rates.
Responsibilities
- Content Strategy & Development
- Develop content calendars, messaging frameworks, and audience personas to guide program campaigns.
- Create compelling content for marketing collateral, email campaigns, newsletters, websites, social media, and video scripts.
- Produce thought leadership materials such as case studies, white papers, and program success stories.
- Tailor messaging for residential vs. commercial audiences, ensuring clarity and relevance.
- Campaign & Channel Execution
- Plan, create, and deliver multi-channel print and digital campaigns to encourage participation in demand response and energy efficiency programs.
- Research, coordinate, and execute trade shows, workshops, webinars, and other program events (virtual and in-person).
- Manage outside vendors for design, printing, and fulfillment as needed.
- Engagement & Collaboration
- Partner with program staff, business development, engineering, and operations teams to align marketing with program needs.
- Develop relationships with industry associations to increase visibility and market penetration.
- Ensure up-to-date program information is available across platforms and maintain accurate program files.
- Analytics & Reporting
- Monitor and analyze marketing performance (open rates, click-throughs, conversions, participation).
- Deliver clear reports and recommendations to improve effectiveness and demonstrate value.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in content marketing, content strategy, or communications (energy sector experience a plus).
- Strong content creation portfolio, ideally for B2B and B2C audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to develop content strategies, frameworks, or messaging guides.
- Experience producing digital and print campaigns; familiarity with CRM or marketing automation tools a plus.
- Proficiency with analytics platforms (Google Analytics or similar).
- Knowledge of building systems, demand response, or time-based electricity rates preferred, but not required—must be eager to build expertise quickly.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Salary RangeUSD $62,733.00 - USD $83,054.00 /Yr.
