About the CompanyOur client is a leading global construction consultancy renowned for delivering high-profile, complex and iconic large-scale capital projects. With a strong focus on sustainability and innovation, they are truly at the forefront of their industry.We are currently seeking a talented full-time Cost Consultant for Life Science and Industrial Manufacturing projects.Responsibilities
  • Serve as a client-facing Cost Consultant who assists with strategic, tactical, and technical advice.
  • Interface with clients and external and internal consultants at all project stages.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and produce procurement reports.
  • Produce ROMs for new and pipeline projects for a project budget to be based on.
  • Day-to-day cost management of medium to large-scale client projects, including procurement, pay requests, change management and cost reporting.
  • Apply value management techniques at the outset of a project involving existing protocols and systems.
  • Manage the procurement process, ensuring that all stages, including pre-qualification, inquiry, evaluation, selection and contract preparation, are performed effectively.
  • Ensure post-contract cost variances, change control, cost checking and valuation processes are managed effectively.
  • Ensure the production of monthly post-contract and cost reports and present them to the client.
  • Provide value engineering and life cycle costing.
  • Update benchmarking efforts as new projects are executed to provide real cost data to the client.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Finance or a related field.
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) skills, along with the ability to assure service delivery and provide meaningful/actionable insights.
  • Experience in the construction sector or other highly technical projects.
  • Keen interest in supporting significant construction projects of medium to high complexity.
  • Oracle Unifier or other project management system.
