
Fabrication Welder

- Either hold or have the ability to be tested and obtain AWS Welder Certification using dual-shield flux core wire welding process.
- Read and understand welding symbols on shop drawings.
- Be able to use a weld gauge.
- Work with imperial dimensions (Feet, Inches, Fractions).
- Understand expectations for quality in the work and meet those expectations.
- Perform welding within tolerances established for the project.
- Be familiar with and follow all company policies and safety regulations.
- Have reliable transportation and be punctual getting to work on time.
- Be able to work overtime if assigned.
- Be a team player.
- Have a general diploma from either a high school or GED or completion of an applicable technical school or trade program.
- In lieu of a diploma, GED, or completion of technical program, you must be able to demonstrate a strong ability to read, write, and comprehend work material.
- Work experience in steel fabrication that includes structural and miscellaneous steel is desired and expected.
- Those showing a good attitude and having correct aptitude but lacking in experience, could be a candidate to join our company as an apprentice and work up to full position.
- Must have your own hand tools essential to performing the work of a Welder.
- Must have steel toed boots.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
- Must be able to E-Verify as a legally employable person.
- Any certification that is related to the work is a plus.
