Start dates are determined after funding confirmationNorthrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Engineer Systems Architect / Principal Engineer Systems Architect to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL.**This role may be filled at either the Engineer Systems Architect or Principal Engineer Systems Architect, based on qualifications listed below**This individual will design and develop system architectures and defines key capabilities and performance requirements. They will defines design and technology maturity constraints of the system in accordance with customer specifications, develop thorough definition of system external interfaces, and define system implementation approaches and operational concepts to ensures requirements are met and evaluates performance with customer.Key Responsibilities:Assist in development of system architectures.Architecture, CONOPS, and use case development using model-based systems engineering methodologies.Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.Perform system requirements analysis.Automation workflow development of multi-disciplined functional processes in support of various engineering and business processes.Benefits Statement:

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline AND 2 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 0 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 0 year of related professional/military experience.
  • Your ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated government Secret clearance (DoD must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.
  • Must have experience with Atlassian Tool Suite
  • Must have experience developing model-based systems engineering products and/or Mission Engineering using Cameo Enterprise Architecture
​Basic Qualifications (Principal Engineer Systems Architect):
  • Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline AND 5 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 3 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 1 year of related professional/military experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Software Engineering with experience using Model-Based Systems Engineering.
  • Experience in the military aerospace development environment is preferred.
  • Experience integrating hardware and software in a lab environment.
  • Experience in software development, including interfacing with systems engineering and integration and test.
  • The ability to provide tool administration in tools such as Atlassian.
  • Experience in Digital Ecosystem design and maturity.
#AS-FA3Primary Level Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
