The DNC is seeking Regional Distributed Organizers to join the National Distributed Team. Distributed Organizers will be responsible for leading teams of volunteers to recruit, organize, and engage thousands of volunteers in call and text efforts. As a Distributed Organizer, you will recruit, build, and grow a community-based, volunteer-driven organization to support national Democratic outreach. You will be responsible for driving a virtual recruitment and direct voter contact efforts through call and text messages. You may drive targeted battleground volunteer mobilization and shift recruitment support on behalf of in-state organizers as needed.Ideally, you know how predictive dialer and texting programs work, including tools like Spoke, Hubdialer, Hustle, and Scale to Win, and how to run your own campaigns in them. The idea of training and cultivating volunteer leadership is exciting to you, and you are as comfortable building relationships 1:1 with a volunteer as you are facilitating large groups of 100+ on Zoom.This role will report to the Regional Distributed Organizing Directors.Responsibilities:
Responsible for recruiting, training, and leading teams of volunteer leaders to support ongoing text and call efforts;
Build phone call and text campaigns in addition to drafting scripts and training materials;
Plan and execute ongoing volunteer recruitment for the national volunteer community;
Lead teams of volunteers to host voter contact and recruitment shifts of their own;
Drive volunteers to take on more leadership to build a large volunteer-centered organization;
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1-2 campaign cycles of experience as an organizer or digital organizer;
Experience working with predictive dialer tools and texting tools;
Experience with managing volunteers, especially volunteer leadership development;
Proficiency with organizing tools such as Mobilize America and VAN;
Familiarity with Slack, Zoom (or equivalent), Google Drive;
Strong in-person communication and writing skills;
Able to drive volunteer programs across time zones;
Ready to work in a fast-paced environment and willing to be flexible with workstreams and tasks over time.
