- Act as the primary customer quality contact, urgently diagnosing and communicating issues, ensuring containment and conducting root cause analysis.
- Support existing production programs and new product launches by ensuring quality systems are in place for all assigned production areas.
- Work with program teams to create and maintain APQP documentation, including FMEAs, Control Plans, Process Flows, and Work Instructions.
- Execute GR&R analyses and capability studies to ensure confidence in equipment and product performance.
- Collaborate with and lead cross-functional teams to manage PPAPs with customers.
- Identify supplier-associated quality issues and oversee containment, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Provide product and process expertise, visiting suppliers when necessary.
- Maintain systems, tools, and metrics to track key quality indices such as customer PPM, FTT, and scrap costs.
- Utilize Six Sigma expertise and evidence-based improvements to drive better results.
- Serve as an internal technical resource by demonstrating knowledge of products and production processes/equipment.
- Conduct training related to quality systems and automotive standards to ensure competency in critical functions.
- Promote safety and ergonomic practices in accordance with 5S principles.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering-related field.
- Knowledgeable in GD&T and use of standard inspection metrology equipment.
- Experience with IATF16949 standard.
- Minimum of 3 years of working with supplier quality and customer-facing roles.
