- Establishes and enforces a clear timeline of events with Sales Officers and clients for all tasks associated with implementation and training
- Performs client setup within payroll software application
- Performs employee setups and audits within payroll software application
- Ensures accurate and timely completion of implementation process
- Designs solutions for client interfaces
- Performs setup of a client’s general ledger, time-off accrual, and custom reports
- Transfers prior wages paid to current payroll and performs test payrolls
- Independently researches client questions and explores technologies in order to provide solutions
- Performs time and attendance setups within Bangor Time application
- Performs training for new clients
- Establishes a timeline for adding time-off accruals, general ledgers, Bangor Time, and custom reports to existing clients
- Introduces Payroll Specialist with a warm handoff after successful completion of payroll
- Identifies and recommends modifications to processes when efficiencies may be gained
- Cross-trains in other Bangor Payroll departments in order to assist when needed
- Communicates directly and professionally with internal and external client, providing exemplary customer service
- Proactively resolves client payroll issues
- Periodically conducts on-site interviews to gather company and employee payroll data for new clients
- Analyzes current client methods of payroll processing and facilitates implementation of solutions
- Level I
- Performs setup of new clients with basic earning and deduction codes
- Performs basic time and attendance setups within Bangor Time application
- Performs setups of annual or monthly time-off accrual policy
- Performs setups of general ledger without Division/Branch/Department/Team allocations
- Creates ad hoc reports and files
- Level II
- Performs setup of new clients with advanced earning and deduction codes
- Performs time and attendance setups within Bangor Time application with clock prompts
- Performs setups of annual, monthly, per pay period, and per hour time-off accrual policies
- Performs setups of general ledger with Division/Branch/Department/Team allocations
- Creates Query Builder reports and files
- Imports employee and scheduled earning and deduction data via Evo Exchange
- Level III
- Performs setup of new clients with complex earning and deduction codes
- Performs time and attendance setup in Bangor Time application with scripting and scheduling
- Performs setups of annual, monthly, per pay period, per hour, and roll over time-off accrual policies
- Performs setups of general ledgers with Division/Branch/Department/Team allocations and QuickBooks interfaces
- Creates Report Master reports and files
- Imports employee, scheduled earning and deduction, time-off accrual, and YTD data via Evo Exchange
- Stays current on payroll regulations and trends
- Assists in ensuring that the Bank is in compliance with local, state and federal regulations

- Maintains strict confidentiality
- Four-year college degree in Business, Information Technology, Accounting or related area preferred, or three to five years of progressively responsible payroll experience including a broad exposure to all areas of payroll
- Attention to detail, emphasis on accuracy, adherence to deadlines, with good organizational, analytical, mathematical and oral and written communication skills required
- Ability to work with little supervision
- FPC (Fundamental Payroll Certification) required for Level II, encouraged for Level I
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) strongly encouraged for Level III
- Group facilitation and training experience preferred
- Strong communications skills, verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Demonstrated relevant computer literacy
- Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook proficiency
- General office environment
- Moderate lifting (to 35 lbs.) required
- Moderate reaching, walking, sitting and standing required
- Occasional in-state travel required for client training
