Failure to obtain this will result in termination from this role.The Senior Account Manager Support Specialist’s (AMSS) primary responsibility is to help process Veterans’ Compensation and Pension exam scheduling requests for the Medical Disability Examination (MDE) contract. The Senior AMSS works closely with all operational departments within OptumServe to ensure requirements of the contract are being upheld.This position is full-time, Sunday - Saturday. Employees will have flexibility to work any variable shift options as early as 5:00 AM - 7:00 PM in their local time zone (as long as shift goes to 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM CST) including the flexibility to work weekends based on business need. We offer up to 4 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.You’ll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a primary liaison between Account Managers and operational department regarding issue resolution
  • Perform specialty tasks based on solid contract knowledge and expertise
  • Perform high skill-based tasks and functions in order to ensure proper contract adherence
  • Provide professional communication through customer-facing tasks
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the contract requirements
  • Communicate to the Account Managers about any trending issues impacting order completion (weather concerns, no show patterns, etc.)
  • Identify areas for process improvements
  • Report database issues to leadership
  • Assist in auditing AMSS staff to ensure that all processes and procedures are being adhered to

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 2+ years of experience in MDE Client Services, Customer Service, or Military experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with high knowledge base specifically in Microsoft Excel
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • United States Citizenship
  • Ability to obtain favorable adjudication following submission of Defense Health Agency eQuip Form SF86
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
  • Ability to work any variable shift options as early as 5:00 AM - 7:00 PM in their local time zone (as long as shift goes to 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM CST) including the flexibility to work weekends based on business need

As a requirement of UnitedHealth Group's contract with the Department of Defense, this position requires U.S. citizenship and proof of favorable adjudication following submission of Department of Defense , (the National Agency Check Legal and Credit or NACLC). Successful completion of the NACLC process is a requirement for continued employment in this role. NACLC processing will be initiated by our TRICARE Security Officer post-offer and can take 3-6 months for a final decision communication from the Department of Defense. Candidates will be allowed to begin employment with UnitedHealth Group in this role based on an interim clearance, and final results will be communicated as they are received.
